Bac Giang wins 14 golds and 17th position at National Sports Games
Particularly, Bac Giang athletes won two gold medals at rod pushing, five at track and field, one at shuttlecock, one at Jujitsu, two at chess, one at traditional chess, one at badminton and one at wushu.

Four of out five gold medals at track and field game were awarded to Nguyen Thi Oanh at women’s 3,000 meter steeplechase, 5,000 meter and 10,000 meter race. Especially, after reaching the finished line of 10,000 meter race event at 33 minutes 13 seconds 23, she broke national record at later content which was made by Pham Thi Hue in 2018 National Sports Festival (35 minutes 10 seconds 17) and Pham Thi Hong Le in National Athetic Championship in December 2021 (34 minutes 1 second 59).
The result helped Bac Giang delegation rank 17th position among 65 delegations, up one place against the result in 2018 event and 2nd position among mountainous provinces across the nation.
At this year Sports Games, more than 140 athletes of Bac Giang delegation competed at 12 out of 43 games with the target of 33 to 35 medals of all kinds including 12 to 15 gold medals to secure 15th or 18th position among the participating teams.
The 9th National Sports Games was held across 11 provinces and cities with the participation from 9,654 athletes (5,715 male and 3,939 female) of 65 sport delegations to compete at 933 events of 43 games.The participants set 53 new national records and 96 records at the National Sports Games.
