Bac Giang wins 2 silvers and 5 bronzes at national tradition and freestyle wrestling championship

(BGO) – The 2019 national tradition and freestyle wrestling championship was held in Thua Thien Hue province from August 6 – 14 drawing the participation of 300 athletes from 20 provinces, cities and sectors across the nation.

18 wrestlers in Bac Giang province joined several categories of freestyle and traditional wrestling for men and women.

Thanks to the active preparation, the local wrestlers confidently competed at the big event with such an impressive manner in many weight categories.

After 9 day competition, Bac Giang team bagged 2 silver and fiver bronze medals. The silver medallists included Dang Duc Hung (men’s traditional wrestling at 50kg weight category) and Than Thi Anh (women’s freestyle wrestling at 62 kg weight item).
