Cambodian Minister of Cults and Religions visits Bac Giang province
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Le Anh Duong briefed the guests on the socio-economic development, ethnic affairs and implementation of the ethnic minority policies of the province.

Accordingly, the province is home to 21 components of the ethnic groups with 245,000 people accounting for 14.6 percent of the province’s total population including 7 ethnic minority groups of Hoa, Dao, Nung, San Dui, Cao Lan and San Chi.
There are 188 communes located in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas facing especially disadvantaged conditions. Almost all of the targets and areas have been benefited from the ethnic minority policies of the Vietnamese Party Committee and State.

In line with the Government’s policies, the province has its own policies to mobilize resources for development of the ethnic minority areas; thereby, the quality of life of the local people have been dramatically improved.
Minister Him Chhem expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the leaders and related agencies of Bac Giang province. Besides, he overviewed the ethnic and religious activities of Cambodia. He highlighted the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

The minister stressed, Cambodia would never forget the support of Vietnam against Pol Pot.
Hundreds of Bac Giang people sacrificed in Cambodia. He expressed his thanks to the mothers of heroes in Bac Giang. He stressed, the solidarity between the two nations is unbreakable.
The two countries would continue fostering the cooperative ties to contribute to nurturing and developing the traditional friendly relations in all fields including ethnic and religious affairs.
