China accepts 149 lychee region codes

(BGO) – According to the Division of Plant Production and Protection (under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), this year Bac Giang province has 149 region codes of lychee cultivation accepted by the Chinese market.

These regions cover over 16,000 hectares, mostly in the districts of Luc Ngan, Tan Yen, Yen The and Luc Nam.

The investigation and acceptance of the region code help satisfy the Chinese requirement on the fresh fruits’ clear origin, traceability
During the production, the competent agencies and local authority should instruct the farmers to follow the specific procedure to ensure food safety and hygiene.
Bac Giang exports nearly 350 tonnes of lychees by air freight
Nearly 350 tonnes of Bac Giang lychees have been shipped to international markets by air with China still the largest export market for the fruit.
Big C helps Bac Giang lychees reach farther
(BGO) – Central Group Vietnam has pushed the sales of Bac Giang lychees in the Big C supermarket chain both at home and abroad, aiming to promote and improve economic values of the province’s key product. To get an insight into the issue, reporters of the Bac Giang Newspaper had an interview with Le Mai Linh, Executive Vice President of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Department at Central Group Vietnam, the owner of Big C Vietnam.
Lychees quickly cleared at Lang Son border gates
(BGO) – About 800 tonnes of lychees from Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces are now exported to China per day through the border gates in Lang Son province, doubling the figure in the early days of the crop.

(BGO) – According to the Bac Giang provincial Department of Industry and Trade, on June 18, Luc Ngan lychee was sold at a higher price than the previous day; concretely 12 – 17,000 VND per kilogram (0.53 – 0.74 USD) (up 4,000 VND per kilogram) for the second class fruit, 25 – 28,000 VND per kilogram (1.09 – 1.23 USD) (up 3,000 VND per kilogram) for the first type of main crop lychee and 32-35,000 VND per kilogram (1.4 – 1.53 USD) (increasing 10,000 VND per kilogram) for Luc Ngan hybrid lychee.
Bac Giang lychees exported to Australia
(BGO) – Over 30 tonnes of Luc Ngan lychees have been irradiated for export by Hanoi Irradiation Centre of the Ministry of Science and Technology as of June 14 per request of Rong Do Company Limited, Vietnam Agricare Company Limited and Hanoi based Phong Son Tiem Company Limited, said Dang Quang Thieu, Director of the center.
