Creative Youth in the Army Awards recognise nearly 3,500 military-level works

Updated: 16:33, 16/06/2025

Over the past five years, 3,476 works by more than 10,000 collectives and individuals have participated in the military-level competition within the framework of the Creative Youth in the Army Awards. As such, the total number of military-level works participating in the award has increased by 27.5% compared to the 2015-2020 period.

On the morning of June 15, the Ministry of National Defence organised a program in Hanoi to summarise 5 years of the Creative Youth in the Army Awards (2020-2025 period) and present the 25th award.

General Phan Van Giang discusses the Creative Youth movement in the army with delegates on the sidelines of the programme.

Congratulating and praising the spirit of effort, endeavour, and outstanding achievements of youths throughout the entire army on this occasion, General Phan Van Giang requested agencies and units in the army to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the resolutions and directives of the Party, policies, and viewpoints on youth and youth work in the army as well as science and technology work in the new period.

According to General Phan Van Giang, the youth of the entire army must consider the development of military science as an important task to build a modern army.

This responsibility requires the strong promotion of the role of Party committees, commanders, political commissars, and youth organisations at all levels in leading, directing, and organising the implementation of the Creative Youth movement.

Minister Phan Van Giang noted that agencies and units should focus on communication, education, and motivation, while also creating favourable conditions for young people to participate in scientific research as well as apply and develop research results into the unit’s practice.

At the programme, the organising committee awarded certificates of merit from the minister of national defence to 16 collectives and 24 individuals with outstanding achievements in 5 years of organising and participating in the award (2020-2025 period); awarded certificates of merit from the prime minister to 2 collectives with outstanding solution groups; awarded certificates of merit from the minister of national defence to 18 collectives and 36 authors whose works won the first prize; awarded certificates from the director of the General Department of Politics to 414 winning works; and awarded the Creative Youth Badge from the Central Youth Union to the 36 authors who won the first prize.
