Deputy PM and provincial leaders visit and present Tet gifts to national contributors and poor people

(BGO) – On January 22, Deputy Prime Minister and Member of the Politburo Vuong Dinh Hue paid a visit to extend Tet Greetings and present gifts to Lang Giang Nursing Center for the Invalids in Thai Dao commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province. 

He was accompanied by Dao Ngoc Dung, Member of the Central Party Committee (CPC), Minister of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs; Bui Van Hai, CPC, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC).

Visiting the Center, the Deputy PM expressed his deep gratitude and respect for the sacrifices and contributions of the heroic martyrs, invalids and wounded soldiers to the cause of national liberalization and unification. He pressed that caring for the national contributors is always the most important and consistent policy of the Party that is specified via numerous programmes and activities.

After hearing the Center’s operational report, the Deputy PM acknowledged its highlight results in caring for the medical and spiritual life of the invalid and severely wounded soldiers under the nursing period here. Ahead of Lunar New Year 2019, the Deputy PM wished all officers and staff of the Center a new year of health to promote their responsibility, profession and working spirit in improving the caring quality for the national contributors.

He expected the invalid and sick soldiers to continue enjoying the happy and healthy life as well as forever play the bright model to the youngsters. On the occasion, the delegates presented Tet gifts to the Lang Giang Nursing Center for the Invalids and 48 invalids and severely wounded soldiers from 21 provinces and cities (from Thua Thien Hue upward) under the nursing here.

Visiting Lan Mau commune (Luc Nam district), the Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, Dao Ngoc Dung, Bui Van Hai, Nguyen Van Linh and Tran Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) visited, extended Tet Greetings and presented 100 gift packages (1 million VND and a gift) to the poor in 4 communes of Lan Mau, Yen Son, Kham Lang and Bac Lung. The expenses were mobilized from the donation of the “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” movement launched by the VRCS.

The Deputy PM urged the local authority to continue paying due attention to caring for the living condition, helping the poor and social beneficiaries so that everyone can enjoy Tet holiday while encouraging the disadvantaged people to develop the economy.

Also on January 22, the PPC Chairman Nguyen Van Linh and leaders of the Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), Viet Yen district visited and offered Tet gifts to the outstanding national contributors in Tan Tien commune (Viet Yen district), including Than Thi Doi, the martyr’s widow in Cham hamlet; Than Van Lang, 61 percent wounded soldier in Phuc Long hamlet and the provincial Nursing Center for the National Contributors.

On the occasion of Tet festival 2019, the PPC Chairman handed over 2 presents each worth 1 million VND (over 43 USD) to the families of the outstanding national contributors; 17 packages to the severely sick soldiers in the provincial Nursing Center for the National Contributors each valued at 1.5 million VND (over 64 USD) together with a gift box to the Center.

In the morning of January 22, Tu Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and leaders of the DoLISA and Luc Nam district visited and presented Tet gifts to 2 outstanding national contributors in the area, namely Duong Thi Dong (born in 1921) martyr’s mother in Dong Vung hamlet, Yen Son commune and Duong Cong Nguyen (born in 1931), a 21 percent wounded soldier in Lan Hoa hamlet, Lan Mau commune.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai offers Tet gifts to the poor.

At the same day, Vice PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong led a delegation together with the leader of the provincial Labor Confederation to attend “United Tet” programme with the officers and members of the Agriculture and Rural Development’s Trade Union at Nam Song Thuong Hydro Project Exploitation Company Limited in Hiep Hoa district.

Joining the event, he presented 20 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) and 30 million VND (nearly 1,300 USD) to support the construction of the Cosy Union House for the officers, workers and laborers working for the agricultural sector. Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong took the occasion to visit, extend Tet Greetings and gifts to the provincial Agency for General Social Protection.

(BGO) – On January 16, Phung Xuan Nha, Member of the Central Party Committee, Minister of the Education and Training (MoET) visited, extended Tet Greetings and presented gifts to the teachers and officers working in the educational sector in the northern province of Bac Giang on the occasion of upcoming Lunar New Year.
