Assorted activities are being held across the country to bring a warm and happy Tet (Lunar New Year) to poor and disadvantaged people ahead of the traditional festival.
On January 21, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh visited and presented 100 Tet gifts, worth VND1.2 million each, to poor households and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, and 100 gifts worth VND1.3 million to children living in especially difficult circumstances in Tien Giang province.
