Ha Long World Circus Festival features 114 artists

The Ha Long World Circus Festival 2019, themed ‘a new chapter of a great wonder’, officially opened in the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 15.

The festival attracted 114 artists, actors and actresses from 20 countries and territories around the world, namely Mongolia, Cuba, Ethiopia, Canada, Moldova, Brazil, Germany, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Iran, Laos, Egypt, the US, Japan, Mexico, Chile, Slovakia, Ukraine and Cambodia, and hosts Vietnam.

The jury board includes seven prestigious members from Vietnam’s and the world’s circus associations.

At the opening ceremony, audiences had the opportunity to watch 13 performances from 12 countries: Vietnam, Germany, Cuba, Ethiopia, Mexico, Laos, Chile, Egypt, Moldova, Russia, the US and Japan.

Quang Ninh province's leaders present flowers to representatives from the participating countries and the jury's members.

A wide variety of attractive events will be held during the festival, such as a street circus parade, a gala of special circus performances, seminars and an international culinary festival.

The festival takes place from November 11-17.
