Hanoi honours 88 exemplary graduates of local universities

Hanoi’s authorities held a ceremony on September 6 to honour 88 outstanding students who have graduated from local universities, colleges and academies with the highest results.

The excellent graduates were also named in the city’s Gold Book.

Over the past 18 years, Hanoi has honoured a total of 1,879 university graduates with excellent results. Many of them have risen to success in their research and work, actively contributing to the building of the capital and the country.

The exemplary graduates enrol themselves in the city's Gold Book at the ceremony.

Among the honourees in 2020, 55 have graduated with “high distinction” (62.5%) and 33 with “distinction” (37.5%). In particular, four students are “double excellent graduates” as they came first in both the university entrance and the graduation exams. 

They are Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga from the Hanoi National University of Education, Nguyen Bao Lam from the University of Transport and Communications, Quang Thi Quynh Anh from the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, and Nguyen Thi Thuy from the Academy of Military Science.

The annual ceremony aims to recognise and praise the exceptional efforts made by young people in their studies as well as in overcoming difficulties.

Nearly 23 million students nationwide enter 2020-2021 academic year

Excellent students at National High School Graduation Exam 2020 in Bac Giang
(BGO) – Bac Giang province ranked 19th nationwide  on the subjects’ average score at the National High School Graduation Exam 2020 (first period). The province has many excellent students with high scores at the top list of subjects and groups.
Rural students create robot
(BGO) – For more than three years persisting in the target, the group of inventors in Hiep Hoa No 4 High School has researched and created the multifunctional robot that helped them gain First Prize at the 16th Invention Contest for the youth and teenager in Bac Giang province in 2020 (High School Group).
