Bac Giang honors exemplary women and outstanding blood donors
For 5 years, the women movement and association activities have gained thorough development. Many patriotic emulations and major campaigns have been launched by all levels of union and effectively implemented, helping nearly 34,000 households escape from the poverty, 280 difficult cases build the humanitarian houses, 800 women successfully realize their business and startup ideas...in the province.

Speaking at the event Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Van Hanh honored the exemplary faces, new models and good methods from the provincial women.
He pressed that the provincial Women Union should further accelerate the emulative implementation among the union together with those launched by the province in the upcoming time so as to enhance the operational quality to support the women with creative startup ideas, economic development to create stable job and increased income.
On the occasion, the provincial Women Union honored 102 collectives and individuals with excellent achievement in the emulative movement in the period 2015 – 2020.
At the same date, the provincial Steering Board for voluntary blood donation (VBD) held a ceremony to honor the outstanding blood donors.
Since 2005, the province has received nearly 150,000 blood units. Bac Giang is one of the few localities in the country to organize the festival to respond to the VBD campaign.
In 2019, the province received 20,900 blood units, accounting for 1.17 percent of the whole population to donate the blood that is higher than the national average rate.
At the ceremony, 373 outstanding donors were honored, typically the Red Cross Society in Hiep Hoa district (328 percent of the assigned target), family of Tran Van Dan in Tien Luc commune, Lang Giang district (donate blood 29 times), the Hoang in Phi Dien commune, Luc Ngan district (27 people join the campaign to donate 103 blood units)...

Voicing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee cum Head of the provincial Steering Board Le Anh Duong and Permanent Vice Chairman, General Secretary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Nguyen Hai Anh pressed on the role and meaning of the reserve blood source in emergency case and patient treatment.
The VBD has become a humanitarian movement to draw the due attention from the local party, authority and residents. The leaders praised the contributions from the collectives and individuals in the campaign.
The good deed is the bright example and encouragement to attract more and more people’s participation to be active in the reserve blood source to cure the patient.
