Labor market is bustling from beginning of the year

BAC GIANG - Since the beginning of the year, labor recruitment activities have been bustling as businesses want to employ a large number of laborers to serve production. To balance supply and demand, functional sectors and localities in Bac Giang province have stepped up propaganda, information connection and supported businesses to recruit enough human resources, contributing to job creation and reducing unemployment rates.

According to the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, there are currently 171 enterprises with labor recruitment needs of nearly 34,600 job positions in the first quarter in the industrial parks and about 123,300 laborers in 2025, nearly 80% of whom are unskilled workers.

Some enterprises need to recruit a large number of laborers in the first quarter such as: Foxconn Technology Group (Quang Chau Industrial Park, Dinh Tram Industrial Park) (more than 13,100 people); Luxshare-ICT Co., Ltd (Quang Chau Industrial Park, Van Trung Industrial Park) (5,700 people); Newwing Interconnect Technology Bac Giang Co., Ltd (Van Trung Industrial Park) (1,700 people).

Lens Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd in Quang Chau Industrial Park currently has nearly 5,400 employees. This year, the company plans to operate project 2 and expand production scale so it needs to recruit about 15,000 employees and in the first quarter alone, the company wants to recruit 3,000 people.

In addition to the majority of unskilled workers, the company will recruit nearly 1,500 qualified laborers for management positions and technical staff for the new production line.

To recruit enough human resources, the business has promoted communication on social network, arranged interview schedules at employment centers; assigned targets to each department and applied internal bonus policies when employees introduce candidates.

The company also cooperates with 14 supply companies (labor subleasing) to find more favorable sources of supply. The company now coordinates with the employment service centers of several provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh to organize mobile propaganda or connect at online transaction sessions to find laborers.

Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center (Center) said that the labor recruitment trend in the first months of the year was quite diverse. The fields related to industrial production (electronics, garment, packaging) continued to have high demand.

This showed that the labor market is flourishing. The jobs, income and life of laborers will be improved when businesses compete for human resources with better policies.

To meet the recruitment needs of enterprises, at this time, the Center mobilizes maximum human resources to review and promptly grasp the needs of each company in the area.

At the same time, the Center promotes to apply information technology in propaganda and job connection such as updating recruitment needs through the Job Portal, social network; maintaining the zalo group "Bac Giang Job Support" while regularly connecting and organizing online job transactions to neighboring provinces to find laborers for enterprises.

Currently, Bac Giang province has 52 vocational training establishments registered to operate with a total licensed enrollment of nearly 37,500 trainees per year. If the training linkage activities are well organized by address, this will be an abundant source of human resources, ensuring vocational skills for businesses.

To meet the labor demand of enterprises, many synchronous solutions are needed, the important thing is to train human resources according to market demand.

Accordingly, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs proactively reviews and plans the system of vocational schools; expands training links by address as well as on-site training to supply quality labor that is suitable to enterprise requirements.

After having the results of the annual supply - demand survey, the Department notifies localities so that the laborers in need can apply while regularly propagates policies to support job creation according to the Law on Employment to communes and villages so as to create job opportunities for rural people.

Also, the Department further directs the Provincial Employment Service Center to connect with provinces and cities with large labor reserves to support the supply of human resources for enterprises.
