In 2022, Bac Giang totally grown 28,000 ha of lychee, including 15,800 ha in Luc Ngan district (up about 350 ha year on year), 15,800 ha of lychee cultivated under VietGAP procedure and 6,500 ha of early ripening lychee.

So far, nearly 100 percent of early ripening lychee areas have flowered while some 75 percent of main season fruit are at the same stage which are 5 - 10 percent higher than the same period last year.

To gain high fruit bearing rate, the competent organizations of the DoARD and district weekly issue instruction to farmers, guiding them to regularly inspect and monitor the orchard so as to sufficiently provide water and fertilizer to the trees.

Dong Nai promotes consumption of over 100 tonnes of Bac Giang lychee

The Department of Market Management of southern Dong Nai province said that it has coordinated with other units in the province to support the consumption of 110 tonnes of Bac Giang lychees.

Amid the disease complicated development, the province has renovated implementation methods and  so far consumed nearly 90 percent of the products, which is a key milestone to affirm the correctness of the provincial instruction to achieve a successful lychee season in the hardship.
