(BGO) – Currently,
more than 200 Chinese traders have registered to enter Vietnam and visit Bac Giang
province to supervise the material area, ink lychee purchase contract, reported
Bac Giang Center of Industrial Encouragement and Trade Promotion (Center).
They plan to immigrate in Vietnam in late May and visit the province to buy early ripening lychee.

In 2023, the province has 29,700 hectares of lychee with estimated output of over 180,000 tonnes. As schedule, the harvest season will last from May 20 to July 30. Bac Giang has 110 growing area codes (GAC) on over 16,000 hectares and 215 qualified packaging facilities of fresh lychee to export to China. Bac Giang lychee has high quality, good looking so it is widely preferred by Chinese customers.
Duo to Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 and 2022, few Chinese traders came to the province to buy the fruits. This year, the direct participation of Chinese traders will help facilitate the fruit consumption.
So far, the Center has inked 34 memoranda of understanding with whole sale markets of farm produce, electronic commercial platform, supermarkets and businesses to sell lychees.

People’s Committee Nguyen The Thi has worked with Railway Transport and Trading
Joint Stock Company (Ratraco) under Vietnam Railways about lychee transport
programme in 2023 via Kep station in Lang Giang district.
