Over 290,000 labours in Bac Giang resume normal work
Chairman of Bac Giang provincial Labour Federation (PLF) Nguyen Van Canh shared right after the disease was well controlled, the province allowed businesses meeting safe condition about disease prevention and control to resume operation. The trade union has collaborated with the authorities and companies to call back the labours to restore the production.

Accordingly, the trade union officials timely encouraged labours to come back work; joined hands in supporting the businesses to arrange accommodation places with sufficient living condition for them at the companies, propose to supplement more equipment to work safely; donated foods and commodities to several difficult enterprises.
The “three on spot” models were applied successfully by 263 out of 369 companies with 87,800 labours.
Besides, the PLF guided hostel owners to conduct the criteria of safe boarding house then introduced to business to hire rooms for their employees. The trade union also suggested the employers to give supporting policies to the labours, helping most of them get bonus of 1 to 1.5 million VND per person per month for three months.
“Via these above mentioned activities, the provincial Trade Union has supported labours and businesses. To date, 2,760 companies in the province, accounting for 98.9 percent of total businesses have resume operation with 290,000 labours, up more than 35,000 people comparing to the period before the disease outbreak. It was because many enterprises restructured the production with more recruitments,” Canh said.
