The contest was launched in March for all photographers worldwide. The Organisation board received 16,367 photos of 1,343 photographers from 41 countries in the world. After several rounds of evaluation, the Jury board selected 73 artworks to award.

The official website of the contest displays the prized photos including the artwork of Nguyen Huu Thong (Bac Giang province).

The contest is among the prestige events drawing the biggest number of participating photographers and photos in the year within the sponsorship of FIAP.

Photographer Nguyen Huu Thong from the northern province of Bac Giang won silver medal with the photo “Bua sang o cho phien (Breakfast in the kermis)” in tourism category.

Besides, the photos of Nguyen Huu Thong and two other young photographers Nguyen Thanh Son and Tran Van Tuan coming from Bac Giang province will be displayed at the exhibition.

It is the first time Bac Giang province has had a photographer winning medal at national and international contests launched by VAPA under the sponsorship of FIAP. The result has proved for a dramatic progress of local photographic sector in the international contest.

The photographers submitted their artworks to compete in 6 topics, namely freelance in color photo, freelance in single color photo, wild animal, human and life, tourism and movement.

The concluding and awarding ceremony is scheduled in this October together with the exhibition. The excellent photographers will be awarded cash prize and FIAP’s blue badge.
