Phu Tho launches tours to welcome Hung King Temples Festival

Phu Tho Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has officially launched a special tour named “Visiting the land of UNESCO-recognised heritage”, aiming to welcome visitors to the locality during the upcoming Hung King Temples Festival and the Ancient Land’s Culture and Tourism Week 2024.

Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Duc Hoa said the province will introduce various tours, including the one-day tour to Hung King Temple, Lai Len Temple, Hung Lo Ancient Village; the 2-days-1-night tour to Hung King Temple, Hung Lo Ancient Communal House, Tam Giang Temple, Long Coc Tea Hill and Wyndham Thanh Thuy tourist area; and the 3-days-2 nights tour with the experiences of visiting Hung King Temple, Xoan singing, Long Coc Tea Hill and Xuan Son National Park.

Joining the tours, visitors will have the chance to join the unique practice of worshipping Hung Kings, which was recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, at the Hung King Temple historical relic site; enjoy Xoan singing, which was also recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Lai Len Temple is considered the birthplace of Phu Tho’s Xoan singing. Meanwhile, Hung Lo Ancient Communal House is a complex with typical cultural values of the ancestral land.

In addition, visitors can also visit the 1,300-year-old Tam Giang Temple, located at the confluence of Red, Lo and Da Rivers; experience the poetic scenery of Long Coc Tea Hill; learn about the forest ecosystem at Xuan Son National Park; and enjoy Muong ethnic minority people’s cuisine in Tan Son District.

On this occasion, Phu Tho has carried out the tourism linkage programme between eight northeastern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, creating more attractive linkage tours towards attracting more visitors to the province.

Visitors to the locality will admire the beauty of nature and the mountains and forests of the northeastern region and enjoy the cuisine and unique cultural features of the ethnic groups.
