It includes the construction of a new 110 kV double-circuit overhead transmission line with ACSR-300/39 conductors, extending over 6.8 km, and a new 110 kV substation equipped with two transformers totaling 2 x 63 MVA capacity (phase 1 includes one 63 MVA unit).
The substation features three 35 kV feeders and four 22 kV feeders, along with systems for control, protection, metering, communications, surveillance, fire prevention and other essential equipment.
It is connected to Bac Giang’s remote control center. Total investment exceeds 113 billion VND (4.86 million USD).
According to Bac Giang Power Company, the province’s electricity consumption has grown rapidly in recent years, with an annual increase ranging from 12.5% to over 18%, equivalent to around 700 million kWh of additional commercial electricity usage per year.
The current 220 kV and 110 kV grid is overloaded, and some areas such as Viet Yen township and Bac Giang city are experiencing local overloads and unstable voltage during peak hours.
The Bac Lung 110 kV project is expected to enhance electricity supply for industrial production and daily life, especially during the upcoming hot months.
