Prime Minister to attend Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Summit

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will attend the third Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Summit, which is due to be held online on August 24, at the invitation of his Lao counterpart Thongloun Sisoulith.
The summit will also be attended by high-ranking leaders from Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and China.

The MLC is a sub-regional cooperation mechanism that was jointly established in 2016 by six countries along the Mekong River, namely Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Since then, various exchange activities among political parties, officials, youth and religious groups have been organised.
The biennial event is organised in rotation among member countries.
The Prime Minister has just approved the Plan to implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has ordered relevant ministries, authorities and heads of the provincial and centrally-run cities to exert efforts so as to ensure traffic safety in face of the raging Covid-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a video conference on August 6 regarding the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), during which he described the deal as a broad and modern expressway bringing the EU and Vietnam closer together.

to the due attention and instruction from the Center and Bac Giang province in the
past tenure, Luc Ngan district has gained several economic achievements with
prosperous changes in urban and rural traffic infrastructure. Agriculture production
for export has brought high economic value. The industrial, small and craft village,
trade and service, tourism, rural sector has achieved many results.

sectors and local administrations with 63 provinces and cities on Covid-19 prevention and control on
August 2. Bac Giang province was chaired by member of
the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van
Hai, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai.
