Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting to discuss preparation for a programme entitled “The whole country joins hands for the poor” on October 9.
The programme is scheduled to take place at 20:00 on October 17.
As of October 9, 54 collectives and individuals had registered with support of more than VND467 billion, of which donations to the Fund for the Poor were estimated at over VND124.8 billion and a social security programme at over VND342 billion (not including an amount of VND1.4 trillion registered by the banking sector in 2021).

Speaking at the meeting, VFF President Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and highly appreciated the active and urgent participation of departments and units in preparation for the programme.
The successful organisation of this meaningful programme will contribute to mobilising all resources in society to join hands to support the poor with practical efforts, he added.
He also suggested the relevant agencies continue promoting communications about the results of the programme over time.

journeys to drive the poor patients to Hanoi for health examination and
treatment.
Poor girl wishes to stand upright just one time
(BGO) – Though Nguyen Thi Giao was born in
1987 as a normal girl in Cao Thuong town, Tan Yen district, Bac Giang Province,
her body was deformed with the crooked back after a serious fever when she was
8 years old. For 25 years, Giao has dreamed of having her health checked to
stand upright.
