Provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai extends Tet greetings to Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

(BGO)- Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Duong Van Thai and leader of the Department of Foreign Affairs visited to extend Tet greetings to Xiong Bo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Vietnam and staff of Chinese Embassy ahead Lunar New Year 2020. 

According to the provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai, Bac Giang province has fostered establishing and expanding the cooperative relations with Chinese partners.

The province is home to 141 investment projects from China with total registered capital of 2,114 billion USD, ranking first in terms of registered capital and second in terms of the number of projects (preceded by Republic of Korea) among the countries and territories investing in Bac Giang.

Chinese enterprises mostly invest in manufacturing electronic components, livestock feed processing, electric devices, plastic and garment products.

There are some large-scale projects such as Bac Giang International Logistics Centre by the Hai Trinh Hai Nam Financial Management Joint Stock valued at 4,194 billion VND (1.8 billion USD), the factory of Vina Cell Technology Company Limited with total investment capital of 183 million USD and the factory of Vina Solar Technology Company Limited valued at 119 million USD.

The Chinese investment projects have made great contribution to socio-economic development of the province, especially in economic restructuring, creating jobs, enhancing labor productivity and transfer of modern technologies and management experience.

China is defined as a traditional and significant market taking high proportion in agricultural export structure of the province. Particularly, China is the biggest market for Bac Giang lychee.

Annually, the province sends the delegations to attend Vietnam-China International Trade Fair; thereby connecting and promoting signature products of the province to Chinese partners.

Ambassador Xiong Bo thanked the provincial party committee and government of Bac Giang province for their attention and support to Chinese enterprises. He was impressed by the figure 2,114 billion USD- the total investment capital of Chinese enterprises in Bac Giang province.

Besides, several officials of Chinese Embassy have visited Bac Giang province in recent years.

The Ambassador added, with the population of over 1.4 billion people, China has biggest demand for farm produce import worldwide. Although Bac Giang does not share a border with China, it is close to China and has advantages in various agricultural products.

He expected the two sides would continue fostering exchanges and cooperation in many fields with a focus on economic and trade relations. The completion of Bac Giang - Lang Son Expressway will help to shorten the distance facilitating Bac Giang and some provinces in China in trade exchange. He believed the relations between the two sides would be more developed.

On the occasion of New Year 2020, the provincial Chairman Duong Van Thai invited Ambassador Xiong Bo to visit Bac Giang province. He wished the relationship between the two countries generally and between Bac Giang and Chinese partners particularly would be further developed.

(BGO) - Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Lai Thanh Son on 6 January visited and extend Tet greetings to some foreign direct investment (FDI) companies including JA Solar Vietnam Company Limited, Luxshare-ICT Vietnam, Shin Sung Vina, Sameun Electronics Vina in Song Khe-Noi Hoang Industrial Park (Bac Giang city) and Quang Chau Industrial Park (Viet Yen district).

(BGO) – On January 6, Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Duong Van Thai and leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the PPC, Management Board of the provincial industrial parks (IP) paid a visit and extend Tet greeting to some businesses with foreign direct investment (FDI), including FuGiang Company Limited, New Wing Interconnect Company Limited, Vina Solar Technology Vietnam Company Limited, Wonjin Vina Company Limited (Van Trung IP).

(BGO) – The Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai and leader of the Department of Foreign Affairs on December 12 paid a visit and extended New Year greetings to the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam. The delegates were received by Umeda Kunio, the Ambassador of Japan in Vietnam.   
Provincial leader extends Tet Greetings to FDI enterprises
(BGO) – The Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Duong Van Thai on January 14 visited and extended Tet Greetings to some foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises currently operating in the province. He was accompanied by representatives from the departments of Foreign Affair, Industry and Trade, the Management Board of the provincial Industrial Parks and Viet Yen district. 
Bac Giang leaders extend Tet Greetings to Chinese and Korean Embassy
(BGO) – The Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Van Linh on January 8 paid a visit and extended New Year Greetings to the newly-accredited Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2019 with the leader of the provincial Department of Foreign Affair (DoFA) and several Chinese enterprises investing in the province in attendance.
