Provincial Job Service Center develops information system to support employment supply-demand connection

BAC GIANG- Recently, the Bac Giang provincial Job Service Center has ceaselessly renewed organisation of transaction sessions and developed the market information system, thereby supporting connection of labour supply and demand and contributing to reaching the targets on job creation and reducing unemployment rate.

In the context of the world and domestic economic fluctuations when the employment market is facing numerous difficulties and challenges, job transaction session is an effective method to connect employees to employers. As attending job transaction sessions, employers can save recruitment expenses while employees can easily and quickly access to recruitment information.

Representative of a company conducts an online interview with candidates applying for jobs at the virtual transaction session organised by the provincial Job Service Center.

Thus, the provincial Job Service Center always attaches importance to organising job transaction sessions. The Board of Directors regularly study to renew organisations of transaction sessions with diversified implementation methods and expanded localities and participants.

In recent 2 years, the Center has spent financial and human resources to organise several mobile recruitment days in the districts, town and city instead of weekly transaction sessions on every Thursday, focusing on rural and mountainous areas.

Besides, the specialized sessions for the workers returning from abroad, disabled people and ex-convicts have attracted a large number of participants. Especially, the Center has combined job recommendations with career orientation, recruitment consultancy and providing information on labour supply and demand for young people and high school students to choose suitable professions and easily find a job after graduating, which contributes to reducing unemployment rate in the province.

According to Tran Van Quang, Head of Job Recommendation and Forecast Division, after receiving registration for recruitment of businesses, the Center will classify the job positions according to the requirements, wage levels and welfare policies.

The Center will publicize these information and recruitment demand for working in the province and labour export at the job transaction sessions. In addition, the Center will arrange space, equipment and human resources to provide consultancy and interviews (in-person and online interviews) to facilitate connection between employees and businesses. Most of the candidates have been provided sufficient information before submitting application.

In order to improve efficiency of labour supply and demand connection, the job transaction floor has been equipped with specialized computers and software for labourers to seek accurate information while recruiters are facilitated in communicating, promoting and disseminating information to labourers. Besides, the Center pays attention to improving consultants’ qualification and skills to help businesses and employees gain the best results at each transaction session.

The provincial Job Service Center is scheduled to organise 75 transaction sessions in 2024. Particularly, it has organised 50 sessions with 32 regular, 2 specialized, 6 mobile and 10 online sessions since early this year. As a result, it provided job recommendations for over 11,400 labourers, 2,300 of whom were employed right after the transactions finished.
