(BGO) – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA)
on October 6 joined hands with the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social
Affairs (DoLISA) and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company (Samsung) to present
wheelchairs to people with disability in Tan Yen and Yen The districts (Bac
Giang province).
The action aimed to share the difficulties with the local disabled persons and widespread emotion via charity work. On this occasion, Samsung gifted 100 wheelchairs totally worth 160 million VND (7,031 USD).

Sponsors, local authorities and agencies hand over the wheelchairs to the people with disabilities.

The company will further coordinate to agencies and localities to implement projects as the joint efforts to assist and encourage the disabled people to have strong belief and aspiration in life.
Representative of Tan Yen district leader expressed the sincere thanks for the kind attention from the provincial leaders, businesses in and outside the province to support the district in socio-economic development programme, especially social welfare activities.

The wheelchairs are Samsung’s meaningful gift to local people with disabilities in two districts so as to ease their travel difficulties, improve living condition and encourage them to overcome the challenges and intergrate into community.

and Orphan in Bac Giang province on May 14
coordinated with some sponsors to present 119 wheelchairs to the people with
disabilities in Hiep Hoa district (85 pieces) and Viet Yen district (34 pieces).

Trung junior high school, Hiep Hoa district in a wheelchair with the help of
his classmates. His dream path to become an IT engineer will be broadened thanks
to the care and accompanying by his family, teachers and friends.
160 wheelchairs presented to Hanoi disabled
The Hanoi Red Cross Society (HRCS), the Wheelchair Foundation and philanthropists presented 160 wheelchairs to the disabled, Agent Orange victims and those living with fatal diseases in Hanoi on November 6.
Wheelchairs presented to the disabled in Quang Binh
The association for the support of the handicapped and orphans of the central province of Quang Binh and the US’s Giving it Back to Kids Foundation presented 748 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in the locality on November 14.
