Reporting on the performance of local political tasks, Phan The Tuan, Secretary of the district Party Committee, said that during the 2015-2020 term, the socio-economic situation of the district has seen remarkable progress. All 15 targets set out in the Resolution of the district Party Congress have been fulfilled and surpassed.

The Standing Board of the district Party Committee has always focused on educating political thought and attached importance to raising the quality of Party cell activities. The grasping of the thoughts of officials, Party members and people as well as investigation, grasping and orienting social public opinion have been paid due attention.

Regarding the preparation for model district-level congress, implementing the guidance and guidance of the higher levels, the Document Subcommittee has recommended completing the third draft political report and sending it to the grassroots-level Party organisations and cells for feedback while at the same time implementing personnel work steps. The 22nd district Party Congress is expected to be held in early July.

On this occasion, the Standing Board of the Yen Dung district Party Committee proposed the province and authorized agencies consider adjusting the forest planning in the district to suit the local socio-economic development situation; adopt the policy of updating and adjusting the planning and investing in building a road linking the Yen Dung golf course to the Noi Hoang urban area; construct Dong Viet bridge in the 2021 – 2025 period; and approve the establishment of the Yen Lu industrial, urban and service area to serve socio-economic development.

Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai and Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Thi Thu Hong emphasized that Yen Dung is one of the three economic locomotives of the province. Therefore, the Standing Board of the district Party Committee should pay attention to promoting local strengths and focus on developing high-tech agriculture.

Regarding personnel preparing for the congress, the Standing Board of the district Party Committee needs to focus more on female cadres, promote reform of administrative procedures, and address complaints and denunciations. Regarding the prevention and control of Covid-19, despite positive results, the district should not be subjective and inattentive.

Concluding the session, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai appreciated the results of implementing the district's political tasks over the past time. He stressed that the Standing Board of the district Party Committee should pay special attention to directing planning and land management.

It is necessary to promote strengths and harmoniously develop industry, agriculture and services. Attention should be paid to ensuring the progress of building basic infrastructure network, especially transport infrastructure such as roads, to attract investment in industrial, urban and service development.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee noted that the district should focus on drawing investments to key areas and avoid scattered investments, while focusing on strengthening the organization and apparatus of Party agencies and authorities at all levels towards improving the quality.

The Covid-19 pandemic is developing complicatedly and spreading to many provinces and cities throughout the country. Therefore, the district must strictly carry out epidemic prevention and control measures.
