“In recent years, Bac Giang has continuously made breakthroughs to develop thanks to making good advantages in geographical location, topography and golden-aged labour force in line with effective leadership and direction”, said the provincial permanent Vice Chairman.

In the first 9 months of 2022, the province’s GRDP growth reached 23.9 percent, the highest rate ever ranking 1st nationwide. The GRDP per capita is estimated at more than 3,000 USD by the end of 2022. The economic restructuring has seen a sharp increase in industrial proportion.

Bac Giang ranks 7th out of 63 provinces and cities in terms of export value, which is among 8 localities in Vietnam with export turnover reaching over 10 billion USD. The province’s foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction ranks 6th nationwide. Its competitiveness capacity is in top 10 of the nation. Bac Giang is also one of the biggest places for solar panel production in Vietnam.

“This is the 6th visit of the delegation to Vietnam including Bac Giang province. At the visit to Bac Giang, after being introduced by the provincial leader and watching a video clip about potentials and investment opportunities in the province, we are really impressed by the attractive policies, infrastructure and favourable geographical location of the province”, said Urs Buchmann, head of the delegation.

He added, the delegation includes many giant Swiss enterprises working in information technology, law, finance and food processing, who can become future partners to the enterprises in Bac Giang.

He respectfully invited the leaders of Bac Giang province to visit Switzerland to seek more opportunities to establish friendly relationship as well as cooperation in economic, cultural and other sectors.

Regarding direction for coming time, both sides can cooperate in the fields of electronic manufacturing, automobile, machinery, garment and textile, handicraft, electronic components and processing key farm products of Bac Giang to export to Switzerland and other markets.

The Swiss entrepreneur delegation visits the automatic production chain in JA Solar Vietnam Company Limited.

Besides, they expected to cooperate in developing services and combined commerce with convenient services like golf courses, restaurants, entertainment and hotels serving businesspersons, traders and foreign experts especially those from Switzerland.

On the same day, the Swiss entrepreneur delegation visited JA Solar Vietnam Company Limited in Quang Chau industrial park, Viet Yen district, which produces solar panel with 100 percent foreign investment.
