Various activities of culture, art and sports held to welcome New Year 2019

(BGO) – The national holiday will start from December 29, 2018, till January 1, 2019, on the occasion of New Year 2019. Various exciting activities of culture, art and sports are scheduled across the northern province of Bac Giang. 

Center of Culture and Sports in Bac Giang city is going to organize the art performances to welcome the new year as well as several sports and cultural activities to serve the residents’ entertainment demand including art programme with 15 singing and dancing performances held on the evening of December 30, 2018, at the Martyrs Memorial Site; exchange of traditional chess, Boi chess (a game of chess is played in a big yard with chess pieces labeled in wooden plate) and folk games on December 12, 2018 at the Nghia Long campus; game of throwing ball into the tub and bird competition on January 1,2019.

The artists of the provincial Center of Culture and Cinema perform an art show on the major holiday of the province and nation.

Additionally, the provincial Center of Culture and Cinema plans to organize an art event to welcome new year from 7 pm to 22 pm on December 31 at Ngo Gia Tu Park. This year, the event will show off several new songs written about Bac Giang such as Phieu dieu Son Dong, Say trong cau hat Bac Giang, Ve day tinh tang, Nho chieu song Thuong…

Besides, a special art programme themed “Welcome New Year 2019” will be held in the evening of December 31 at the Central Square of Luc Ngan district that is delicately staged with many performances to praise the Party, Uncle Ho as well as welcome new spring and love. The event is joined by many artists, singers and dancing groups from Hanoi, some of whom were born in Luc Ngan district.
