Vice President receives female managers and scientists in educational sector

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on October 18 for outstanding female managers and scientists in the educational sector.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice President showed her appreciation for the significant contributions made by female managers and scientists to the development of educational and training sector.

In order to promote the basic and comprehensive renewal of education and training in Vietnam, the educational sector should persistently implement the goal of improving the quality combined with the principles of education: learning goes together with practice and school associated with family and society, she added.

Vice President Thinh asked teachers to regularly foster their qualifications and innovate teaching methods, contributing to improving the quality of education and training.

She also noted that the educational sector should enhance the patriotic emulation movements as well as timely encourage teachers and students who have made efforts to gain outstanding achievements.

The Vice President emphasised the necessity to prepare the most favourable conditions to effectively implement the new general education programme, focusing on training teachers.
