Vietnamese athletes to compete at Asian Grand Prix Series

The Asian Athletics Federation has invited 16 Vietnamese athletes to compete at the Asian Grand Prix Series 2019 in Chongqing, China, from June 4-7.

Among them are long jumper Bui Thi Thu Thao, runner Le Tu Chinh, hurdler Quach Thi Lan and high jumper Vu Duc Anh.

Thao won a gold medal at the Asian Games last year. She also won a gold at the 2017 Asian Championships and a silver at the 2014 Asian Games.

The event will be a test for athletes to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan.

More than 7,000 athletes are competing in the National Sports Games which is taking place in Hanoi, the northern province of Hoa Binh and the central province of Khanh Hoa from November 15 to December 10.
 
Vietnamese athletes arrive in Indonesia for Asian Para Games
The Vietnamese delegation arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 1 to compete in the third Asian Para Games scheduled for October 6-14.
