Cam beat Seo Huyn-min from the Republic of Korea 100-51 after 15 moves. The victory served as sweet revenge for Vietnamese, as previously, defending champion of 2018 Ngo Dinh Nai was beaten by Seo in the quarter-final.

Ma Minh Cam wins the 10th Asian Carom Championship one cushion carom.

Besides Cam receiving 2,000 USD, other cueists Nguyen Si Tuong and Pham Van Hung both collected bronze medals.

This year’s tournament attracted 16 cueists from Vietnam, the RoK, Japan and Cambodia. Famous female cueist Sruong Pheavy from Cambodia competed with other male cueists.

The second seed of the tournament, Cam defeated Machida Tadashi from Japan before taking Seo down.

He has continued in the three cushion carom, held on April 24 and 25.

A Vietnamese team, consisting of eight cueists, have left for La Baule, France to compete in the Carom 3-Cushion World Cup, scheduled to take place between October 22 and 28.

The International Three-Cushion Carom Billiards Tournament BTV-Becamex IJC Cup 2018 wrapped up in the southern province of Binh Duong, with Tran Quyet Chien of Ho Chi Minh City becoming the champion.
