Jointly organised by the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe and the Union of Vietnamese Women’s Associations in Europe, the contest aims to honour the traditional values of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) and to spread love for the homeland and cultural identity within the overseas Vietnamese community.
With the theme “A Joyful Tet – A Spring of Aspiration”, the contest not only served as a meaningful platform for Vietnamese people living across Europe to reflect on cherished memories, but also acted as a cultural bridge connecting generations and nations.
The oldest participant was Nguyen Xuan Nhung (83 years old, Poland), while the youngest was five-year-old Danny Nguyen from the United Kingdom. Eight of the entrants were foreign nationals, four of whom went on to win prizes.
The total prize value reached 13,500 EUR (equivalent to 400,000,000 VND), including trophies, commemorative medals, certificates, and cash prizes.
The organisers will present 10 group prizes and 39 individual prizes (including 3 First Prizes, 9 Second Prizes, 12 Third Prizes, and 15 Consolation Prizes), while 20 entrants will receive special commendations.
With a setting deeply imbued with traditional Vietnamese aesthetics, the award ceremony promises to deliver a heartfelt and emotional experience – a space where participants can listen, share, and immerse themselves in the spirit of Tet in the heart of Europe.
Notably, the event will be attended by representatives of Vietnamese authorities, associations, business leaders, intellectuals, and a large number of overseas Vietnamese from all over the world.
