Bac Giang accompanies digital transformation businesses

(BGO) - Implementing the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 01 dated January 14, 2020 on promoting the development of digital technology enterprises and Resolution No. 111 dated June 11, 2021 by the provincial Party Committee on digital transformation in Bac Giang province in the 2021-2025 period, with an orientation to 2030, many businesses in Bac Giang province have boldly conducted digital transformation in governance, thus saving costs and time, and improving labor productivity.

Initial results

Ha Phong Export Garment Joint Stock Company based in Doan Bai commune (Hiep Hoa district) is one of the enterprises active in digital transformation. The unit has used software in human resources management, finance and accounting.

Ha Phong Export Garment Joint Stock Company actively applies digital technology in corporate governance.

Nguyen Van Khanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, said that being well aware of the benefits brought by digital transformation, over the past time, the unit has actively applied information technology in corporate governance. As a result, the work progress has been accelerated, and the evaluation of each worker’s performance is more accurate.

The provincial Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company has coordinated with the Hanoi-based Misa Joint Stock Company to install AMIS enterprise governance software for accounting and human resources management. Using this software, business leaders can manage all financial indicators instantly.

Not only digital transformation in human resources management, finance and accounting, in order to implement the directions of the Government and the province on the application of digital technology in state budget collection management, from April 1, many local businesses have shifted from using paper invoices to e-invoices.

According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, the province currently has more than 12,000 enterprises. Identifying digital transformation as important, many businesses in the province have been promoting the application of digital technology in production, business, internal management and electronic payment, as well as using software to manage human resources and documents...

Timely support

Implementing Resolution No. 111 of the provincial Party Committee on digital transformation in the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030, over the past time, all-level authorities and relevant agencies in the province have focused on guiding and supporting businesses in digital transformation.

SJ Tech Vietnam Co., Ltd., based in the Van Trung Industrial Park (Viet Yen district) is one of the enterprises active in digital transformation.

The provincial People's Committee has issued a plan on developing digital technology enterprises and digital businesses. Accordingly, the province strives to have at least 800 digital technology enterprises and digital businesses by 2025 and 1,500 by 2030 in order to develop the digital economy and build the digital administration.

Nguyen Cuong, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, said that in order to support enterprises to successfully implement digital transformation, in 2021, the department has coordinated with the Department of Informatization under the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize an online workshop on digital transformation solutions for more than 200 small and medium enterprises to introduce and raise the awareness of businesses about digital transformation. 

At the same time, it has partnered with business associations to select 100 enterprises to participate in the digital transformation support programme launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Along with the above measures, the Department of Planning and Investment created a link at the digital transformation support programme on its website so that businesses can capture information, while actively disseminating information on the Zalo group "Supporting enterprises and cooperatives in Bac Giang province". It has also appointed staff to guide enterprises to register to participate in digital transformation.

In particular, to create more resources for digital transformation businesses, from the state budget, this year, the provincial People's Committee allocated 2 billion VND (87,000 USD) to the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Science and Technology and the provincial Business Association to support 38 micro, medium and small enterprises to use digital transformation technology software services and train human resources. The maximum support level ranges from 20 million VND to 100 million VND per enterprise depending on the type.

(BGO) - In the first two months of 2022, the number of fees and charges paid online in Bac Giang reached nearly 11 billion VND (480,750 USD), many times higher than the figure of the whole year of 2021. To obtain this result, departments, sectors and district-level People's Committees have promoted communications to help people form the habit of using online public services when handling administrative documents.

Bac Giang pays attention to human resource training and technological infrastructure for digital transformation
(BGO)- On February 23 at the provincial Convention Center, permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Son chaired a meeting and dialogue with the officials in charge of information technology (IT) and digital transformation. This was an online meeting with participation of 10 districts, city and 209 wards and towns.
Boosting digital economy
(BGO)- In the Resolution No 111-NQ/TU of the provincial Party Committee, digital economy is targeted at 25 percent of the province’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and among the 3 key pillars including digital government, digital society and digital economy by 2025. In order to reach the set target, the province has seen dramatic transformation from the traditional economy to digital economy.
