In recent year, the Steering Committee has well conducted the propaganda and communication, hence receiving positive feedback from the people of all strata. As the result, the donated blood is always higher than that of previous year. Thousands of people have donated their blood since 2017 while 1,670 blood units were donated in the first 9 months of 2020, accounting for 196.1 percent of the target.
At the ceremony, 15 collectives, 21 families and 143 individuals were honored by the municipal authority while 3 collectives, 2 families, 7 households and 12 individuals were honored by Vietnam Red Cross as well as granted with Certificate of Merit and insignia by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for the achievement in VBD movement.
Nguyen Xuan Lam sets good example of voluntary blood donation
(BGO)- As telling us about his
first time donating blood 14 years ago, Nguyen Xuan Lam (born in 1981),
Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tien commune, Viet Yen
district, Bac Giang province said, “At that time, I was also nervous like other
people. After that, I realized donating blood did not affect my health while I
could do a good deed to help others, thus I continue donating blood for many
times”.
Bac Giang: Over 600 people donate bloods at “Red Journey” Programme
(BGO) –
The seventh “Red Journey” Programme 2020 and Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) Festival
themed “Affectionate Pink Drop” on July 19 were jointly held at the Bac Giang
provincial Labour Culture Building by the provincial Steering Committee for VBD,
Organization Board of National Red Journey and National Institute of
Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
All family members donate blood

and geological distance, many people, even families share their precious blood
day by day to save the patients. Family of Nguyen Thi Oanh (born in 1986) in
Trai Noi village, Dinh Tri commune, Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) is one
of the outstanding models.
