Bac Giang completes Nhu Nguyet and A Lu bridges
The expansion project of Nhu Nguyet bridge received total investment of over 450 billion VND (over 19.1 million USD) by the Bac Giang provincial Management Board for Agriculture and Traffic Investment and Construction Projects.

The project consisted of the bridge and frontage roads in both sides with the first end in Quang Chau commune, Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province) and the other in Dap Cau ward, Bac Ninh city (Bac Ninh province).
Total length is about 1.32km with Nhu Nguyet bridge stretching over 439m which was built beside the old one by similar structure to serve six lanes.
A Lu bridge and Western path in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) were among the component of project to develop urban areas along the corridor of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), the second phase - component project in Bac Giang province (project).
The municipal People’s Committee acted as the project investor. The project was executed on Tran Phu and My Do wards of Bac Giang city. A Lu bridge was designed to span over Thuong river with total length of 426m. It is constructed by reinforced and prestressed concrete with major bridge width of 19.5m.

The main bridge has three continuous spans and beams which are built by reinforced and prestressed concrete and balanced cantilever method. There are four spans from A Lu side while the bridge has three spans from My Do side.
As schedule, the technical traffic clearance for the two above mentioned bridges will take place on June 20 this year. These bridges have strategically important traffic position, helping facilitate traffic from Hanoi to Bac Giang, to industrial parks and clusters in the province, thereby promoting local socio-economic development.
