The province was reported to gain positive socio-economic results thanks to high determination and consensus in the leadership despite facing numerous difficulties when it is concentrating on arrangement of two- tier local government.

GRDP growth is estimated at 14.04 percent. Industrial production has been maintained the growth momentum since late 2024.

The industrial production value (current price) is estimated at 398,764 trillion VND (15.2 billion USD), equivalent to 47.35 percent of the plan, an increase of 26.67 percent compared to the same period.

The total budget revenue reached 16.980 trillion VND (647.547 million USD), a surge of 78.2 percent against the same period, equal to 93.6 percent of the year target. 14 out of 16 revenues achieved over 50 percent of the estimated target, including 3 revenues exceeding the target.

All 10 districts, townships and cities are estimated to achieve 50 percent of their yearly budget revenue targets.

Agricultural production has kept up with the progress with comprehensive growth. Trade promotion activities, especially those aimed at boosting lychee consumption, continued to innovate with proactive involvement of local authorities. Lychee has been smoothly consumed at stable selling prices.

Socio-cultural sectors have seen positive development when social security has been effectively implemented. The people's livelihood has been kept stable. The political security and social order and safety have been ensured. Traffic accidents decreased in all 3 criteria.

In the discussion session, the participants recommended some solutions to urgently run the two- tier local government model since July 1.

In his conclusion, PPC Chairman Nguyen Viet Oanh stressed the two-tier local government system will be announced across the nation on June 30 for the apparatus to officially run from July 1. Thus, he urged the departments, agencies and localities to pay high attention to performing the assigned tasks and duties.

The participants also discussed and gave opinions upon some draft documents including the report on implementation, difficulties and solutions for the 2 Build-Transfer (BT) investment projects, general planning of Tam Tien urban area (Yen The district) by 2040 at 1/5,000 scale and the plan to implement the Resolution No 202/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on administrative unit arrangement.

Besides, the participants voted to approve some draft documents.
