The annual activity has been organized since 2010 to honor the models in workers, public servant, labourers with excellent achievement in the movement “Good labour and Creative labour”.

In the opening speech, Chairman of the provincial Labour Federation (PLF) Nguyen Van Canh pressed that thanks to the great efforts from the trade union at all levels, the province now has more than 220,000 members at over 1,800 grassroots trade unions, 609 of which were established in the enterprises.

Since 2020 amid the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, the workers and trade union have effectively implemented the emulative movements and completed the duo task.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh acknowledged and honored the great contribution of the workers, public servant, labourers and trade union to the provincial socio-economic development.

Launching the patriotic emulative movements in the trade union at all levels helped detect many typical labour with creative thinking to gradually raise the position of workers.

The provincial leader said Bac Giang province has issued many policies to improve and enhance the labourers’life. The provincial People’s Committee (PPC) inked coordination principle to Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in implementing the trade union project in Bac Giang province which covers about 5.5 ha with several items of worker house, multifunctional building, supermarket, kindergarten....As schedule, it will be completed in the period 2021 – 2023.

Besides, the PPC is preparing the draft for the policy to encourage non-public kindergarten education development then submit to the provincial People’s Council so as to meet the demand of workers, significantly hep handle the social issues around the industrial clusters and parks.

To gradually enhance the worker position, she hoped the workers, public servant and labourer will continue studying, enhance qualification and profession, practise the political spirit and industrial character, actively access and master the technology and science to adapt to the international integration. Meanwhile, they were encouraged to be proactive in creative working emulation, technical renovation to save the cost to join hands with the organization and business to recover the difficulties toward stabilization and development.

Representatives of provincial Labour Federation and Department of Home Affairs hand over the Certificate of Merit bestowed by provincial Labour Federation to the individuals with creative ideas at the programme “75,000 creative ideas overcome difficulties to develop”.

The Permanent Vice Chairwoman urged all levels, sectors and localities to take regular attention and coordination to support trade union to promote its role in representing, protecting and taking care of the legitimate rights and benefits of the labour.

On the occasion, 183 outstanding trade union collective, officials and workers were honored by Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, PPC Chairman and provincial Labour Federation while 380 million VND (16,400 USD) was mobilized from the Fund “Trade Union’s Cozy Home” to support to build and repair houses for 13 disadvantaged labourers in the province.
