Bac Giang inks welfare programme for trade unionists

(BGO) – The Labour Confederation in Bac Giang province has inked cooperative agreement about welfare programme for the trade unionists and labours in 2023 – 2026 period with four enterprises.

They are Binh Duong Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Ginseng Production and Commercial Company Limited, Nhat Linh Technology and Equipment Company Limited and Vinmex Group Trading Joint Stock Company.

Leader of the provincial Labour Confederation inks cooperative agreement with four companies.

Under the agreement, the businesses will launch price discount programme ( down from 10 to 40 percent of the list price) for the trade unionist and labours when using the product and service.

The provincial Labour Confederation will facilitate the businesses in communicating and promoting the images and information about the service and goods on the trade union’s media while directing the trade union to call on member registration to become the beneficiaries.

Since 2017, the provincial Labour Confederation ha inked cooperative agreement with 35 partners to implement the welfare programme for members of the trade union and labours.

73,000 turns of trade union members approach and use products and services from such partners with benefited value of 4.3 billion VND (184,785 USD) every year.

Also, the companies have accompanied all chapters of trade union in conducting charity and social activities, gifting difficult trade union members and labours, supporting to build “Trade union cosy house”, preventing and controlling disease, providing free health check up and medicine among others.

Positive signs for Vietnam’s labour market
Vietnam will continue to be affected by a labour shortage in the first and second quarters of 2023, but the deficit is not great and is mainly present in labour-intensive sectors such as garments, leather, and some export-led industries, especially in foreign-invested enterprises.
