Bac Giang isolates 49 Chinese entering Vietnam from third country

(BGO) – The Bac Giang provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (Steering Committee) on March 11 isolated 49 Chinese entering Vietnam from Cambodia and Thailand to reside and work at Bac Giang province. 

These people intended to travel through a third country then enter Vietnam so as to clear the travel history relating to the Covid-19 affected area to avoid 14 day isolation.

The people returning from Covid-19 affected area are taken to isolate at the provincial Center of Farmers’ Vocational Training and Support.

However, according to Vietnamese regulation, the Customs Agency at the border gate will check the passport of the migrant and isolate the cases whose passports are stamped by the Customs of the affected countries within 14 days.

Currently, the Chinese people are put into concentrated isolation to monitor the health condition at the provincial Center of Farmers’ Vocational Training and Support (the provincial Farmers’ Association), Que Nham commune (Tan Yen district).

At the isolation sites, the Management Board arranges 2 persons per separate room, serves their need for food and drink as well as monitor their health twice per day.

As of 9 am on March 12, all cases were in stable health condition without any suspected symptoms such as fever, cough, breath difficulties. There were 145 cases isolated at the provincial concentrated areas including 89 Vietnamese and 56 foreigners.

Bac Giang highly focuses on coping with risk of Covid-19 outbreak

Bac Giang continues preparing conditions in response to many people returning from Covid-19 affected area

The PPC Vice Chairman and Vice Head of the Standing Board of the provincial Steering Committee for prevention and control of the acute respiratory disease Le Anh Duong chaired the event.
