In 2019, the Central Youth Union instructs to lauch 4 Green Sunday campaigns across the nation and Bac Giang is selected to be the example. Themed “Preventing the plastic waste”, this campaign focuses on communicating and enhancing the awareness and action to limit the plastic waste as well as clean the environment, gather the wastes and plant trees.

This year, the provincial Youth Union urged the grass root agents to regularly maintain the movement “Last Sunday of Month”; launch 5 youth volunteer teams of “green communication” to protect the environment, handle the garbage black spots; execute the project “Youth road”; prevent the disease and recycle the wastes.

On the occasion, the Central Youth Union presented 200 probiotic bags to dispose the wastes while the provincial Youth Union and Apax Leader English Center provided 200 bags made of friendly environmental materials to the local residents to contain the tool instead of nylon bags.

Besides, the provincial Board for Traffic Safety presented the buoy-bags and life jackets to students and locals in Nguyet Duc village, Van Ha commune. The Foundation of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students supported the expense to build the humanitarian house worth 50 million VND (over 2,100 USD) while Bac Giang Online Volunteer Club called for donations to help 3 difficult families in Viet Yen district with value of 30 million VND (over 1,200 USD).

After the launching ceremony, the youth members joined hand in various activities of inaugurating the entertaining places for children and teenagers, creating the wall pictures, growing the youth flower road, dredging the inner field channels, spraying products to prevent and stop the diseases, training to the students about environmental protection.

Responding to the National Green Sunday campaign, more than 230 youth unions coordinated with the youth unions in the local schools, organization and agencies to clean the environment as well as grow and care for the youth flower roads.
