Accordingly, the PPC assigned the Management Board for traffic and agriculture investment and construction project in Bac Giang province to be the investor.

Current Nhu Nguyet bridge.

The project consists of the bridge and frontage roads in both sides with the first end in Quang Chau commune, Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province) and the other in Dap Cau ward, Bac Ninh city (Bac Ninh province).

Total length is about 1.32km with Nhu Nguyet bridge stretching over 439m which is built beside the old one by similar structure to serve six lanes.

The project will be designed with steel enforced and pre-stressed concrete bridge with the width of 16 meters and HL93 load. The frontage paths are constructed in line with expressway standard. The section in Viet Yen district is about 400m with 33m bed road, four lane road, safe belt, emergency stop and central median strip. The section in Bac Ninh city is about 408m with 34m bed road.

The congestion occurs frequently on Nhu Nguyet bridge due to numerous vehicles and small bridge.

Nhu Nguyet bridge construction project aims to ease the traffic congestion, restrict the road accident, enhance the exploitation capacity of Hanoi – Bac Giang – Lang Son expressway, contribute to the local socio-economic growth, ensure national defense and security as well as boost up investment attraction to the province and serve huge demand of industrial parks.

The capital is sourced from the provincial state budget. The project is executed in the period 2022 - 2024.
