Bac Giang pays due attention to protecting and caring for children
The representative of the People’s Committee in Luc Nam district reported that as of June 30, 2019, the district has 59,103 children. 39 children under the school age are not allowed to go to school. There is no case of illegal children worker. 701 children live in divorced families while 323 children have special cases.

In implementation of preventing children abuse, the district still faced some shortcomings such as irregular popularization and education of law, grass root staff concurrently having several duties, lack of reporters, limited district budget partly causing impact on operational efficiency.
Besides, the district did not have specific policy to support the abused cases.
Addressing the event, Deputy NA Chairman Uong Chu Luu acknowledged the proactive engagement of the local Party and Authority in preventing children abuse. He noted that the reported figure is only the topside so the district should carefully prevent and inspect at grass root level to reflect the actual status.

Also, the local authority was urged to research the legal document and actual condition to propose the effective prevention measures while arranging the budget and other sources to protect and care for the children.
The Deputy NA expressed on one of the basic preventing solution that is to accelerate and reform the method of communication toward actual condition, particularly to the children with high risk of abuse and strictly handle the children abuse related crime.

The local authority should mobilize the utmost participation from the Fatherland Front and other organizations to prevent and control children abuse as well as create a safe and healthy living condition to the children.
