Duong informed his guests that along with taking industry as the driving force for development, Bac Giang focuses on agricultural development. Therefore, in recent years, Bac Giang has many famous products known to Japanese consumers, including lychee. In fact, in recent years, the province has focused on setting up relationships with Japanese partners in all fields and wants more and more Japanese enterprises to invest in Bac Giang.

At the meeting, Isida Ken said that his group has brought a number of Vietnamese agricultural products such as mango, longan, jackfruit... to the Japanese market and wishes to bring lychee to the Japanese people this year. It has requested companies to send samples to Japan for evaluation, and if eligible, it will sign contracts to buy the products in May 2022 with an expected output of about 500 tonnes of fresh lychee and 1,000 tonnes of frozen lychee in the year,which will be increased in the following years.

In the field of high-tech health care, Akimoto informed that EVER Group is Japan's leading enterprise in stem cells with about 6,000 facilities selling medical products. He wishes to help bring the world's leading technology to Vietnam in general and Bac Giang in particular so that people can enjoy health care.

Concluding the working session, Duong appreciated the interest of the two groups in Bac Giang, and emphasized that the province can cooperate with these enterprises in three areas. First of all, the Global Import-Export Joint Stock Company will partner with Ribeto Group in lychee export as the Japanese side has a wide distribution system and good understanding about the Japanese market, while the Vietnamese company boasts a standardised preservation technology when exporting the products to the Japanese market.

At present, the output of the Global Import-Export Joint Stock Company is not large, but if there is a stable consumption market, it will be raised. If Ribeto Group ensures stable consumption, Bac Giang is ready to zone off the best lychee production area for Ribeto.

In addition to lychee, Bac Giang also has many agricultural products that can be exported in the form of fresh or processed. At the same time, it hopes for Japanese partners’ cooperation to bring agricultural products far.

In the field of technology, Duong said that Bac Giang is currently focusing on digital transformation to help farmers and businesses access e-commerce. Therefore, Japanese enterprises can use information technology and digital transformation to connect businesses, gardeners and the community. Then Bac Giang's agricultural products will be more known to consumers.

Regarding stem cells, he said the provincial leaders as well as the people are very interested in this field and the demand for stem cell treatment is also increasing. To help people have access to this technology, he hoped that when allowed to bring technology into Vietnam, EVER Group will prioritize Bac Giang so that local people could enjoy high-tech health care.
