Many businesses register to export lychee

(BGO) – To prepare for this year lychee season, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) in Bac Giang province has worked with enterprises which demand to export lychee to Japan, European Union, the U.S and Australia.

Accordingly, many businesses registered to join the linkage of lychee consumption for export such as Toan Cau Food Import Export Joint Stock Company (Luc Ngan), Viet Phap Joint Stock Company (Hanoi), Ameii Joint Stock Company (Hanoi), Rong Do Production and Trading Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh city) and Chanh Thu Fruit Export Company Limited (Ben Tre) among others.

Some Japanese enterprises visit lychee growing area for export in Luc Ngan district.

The provincial DARD will continue working with some other companies to connect and export lychee to these above-mentioned markets.

This year, the province grows 28,300 ha of lychee with estimated output of 160,000 tonnes, including 15,400 ha of VietGAP safe lychee (112,900 tonnes), 82 ha of GlobalGAP lychee (1,000 tonnes).

The authorities at all levels and competent agencies have actively directed the production, supported the linkage and trade promotion activities to well prepare for the consumption.
