Luc Ngan expands lychee growing areas under VietGAP and GlobalGAP standard
Thanks to favorable weather condition and good caring technique, there is high flowering rate of over 70 percent, especially 90 percent in early ripening lychee.

To support local farmers, the district People’s Committee ordered the competent agencies to firmly grasp the actual situation at the orchards; instruct the method to care for the crop and prevent the common worm and disease; cooperate with local authorities to review the growing area codes; check the cultivation record and the use of fertilizers as well as plant protection products, especially the area for export.
The district People’s Committee urged to synchronously apply technical solutions to enhance the productivity and fruit quality; expand 60 to 70 ha more of lychee grown under VietGAP standard and 20 ha more of GlobalGAP cultivation (now the district has 12,860 ha and 117 ha of lychee growing area in line with VietGAP and GlobalGAP standard respectively); well maintain the lychee areas with certified VietGAP certificate in key communes of Hong Giang, Giap Son, Tan Son, Tan Hoa, Thanh Hai, Ho Dap and areas for export.
The district also requested localities and competent agencies to accelerate communication about safe lychee production to improve its value.
