Bac Giang strengthens economic cooperation and linkage to sell Luc Ngan lychee in Pingxiang (China)

At the meeting, participants discussed the economic cooperation, trade and cultural exchange between the two localities. On behalf of the delegation of Luc Ngan district, Truong Van Nam briefed the host on local socio-economic situation, especially the production and consumption of lychee in 2023.
Accordingly, this year, the district grows more than 17,000 hectares of lychee with estimated output of 98,000 tons (including about 25,000 tonnes of early ripening lychee). The harvest time last from late May to the end of July.
The China General Administration of Customs accepted and granted 35 growing area codes (GAC) for Luc Ngan lychee together with 173 packing codes for local qualified packaging facility for export. In addition, there are codes for growing areas and packaging facilities to export lychee to Japan, Thailand...
The leader of Luc Ngan district hoped that the government and functional agencies of Pingxiang town in general and Chongzuo city in particular will continue creating conditions for businesses of the two countries to strengthen connectivity and trade exchanges toward best achievement, especially opening green lane for Bac Giang special fruit.

Luc Ngan district committed to creating all favorable conditions for Chinese traders and enterprises to buy lychee. Also, Chinese authorities were suggested to extend the customs clearance time, discuss and grasp difficulties and problems for timely settlement.
Besides, the representative of Chongzuo city introduced local situation of customs clearance for the import and export goods. Luc Ngan district should call on the farmers to clean the fruits, cut short stem of 10 – 15 cm then bundle them without leaves while facilitating Chinese traders to buy lychee.
Previously, within the framework of lychee promotion and consumption, on May 24, the delegation of Luc Ngan district worked with the Committee for Cross-Border Trade and Guangxi International Trade Association.
