Right after that, Viet Anh thought about the idea to create a facebook to post latest correct news relating to Covid-19 situation in English so that international friends can properly understand the pandemic development, know the way to protect the health and follow Vietnamese regulation and policies.

Anh obtains the authentic news from daily news of Vietnam Television, the portal of Government and Ministry of Health.

Normally, just 30 minutes after the information about the Government’s instruction, number of new infected cases, cured patients and healthcare recommendation is released, the group will translate into English, edit the content and post on facebook.

With the motto “Quick and accurate”, the information on “Covid-19 Updated Information for Foreigners in Vietnam” has attracted many followers. Currently, more than 9,400 foreigners and Vietnamese regularly access to the facebook.

As a last grader at high school, Viet Anh asks her close friends who are good at English and active in social activities to coordinate in page management so that she can guarantee the studying time.

Besides, the student is supported in term of vocabulary by several foreigners now working in Vietnam so that the information is translated simply and easy for the foreigners to understand.

She shared: “Operating Covid-19 Updated Information for Foreigners in Vietnam” helps me avoid the boredom when staying at home for long period to prevent the Covid-19. Via the page, I can train the English writing, reading and speaking skill”.

The Covid-19 information is regularly translated into English by Viet Anh and friends then update in the fanpage.

Teacher Ngo Quang Khai, Headmaster of Luc Ngan No 1 High School said: “Viet Anh is an excellent student for years, now she is the monitor of class 12A1. She used to participate in the Road to Olympia Peak contest held by Vietnam Television and several English talent contests. Besides, she is able to play piano, sing, dance as an active member in social activities launched by the school”.

Viet Anh is now trying her best to study so as to realize her dream of becoming a student at Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
