The film captured historic moments since the Association’s establishment and the tireless contributions of the national press in the national construction and defence.
In his opening speech, Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, reviewed the establishment and development of the association over the past 75 years.
Minh, who is also Deputy Head of the Party Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilisation, highlighted that throughout its 75-year history, the association has played its role as a political, social, and professional organisation for journalists, innovating its operations to serve as the voice of the people, a forum for society while contributing to the building of the Party and political system.
He noted with pleasure that in 2024, the association achieved many accomplishments, protected the legitimate rights of its members and carried out many community activities, reflecting the social responsibility of Vietnamese journalists.
He emphasised that entering the era of the national rise, amid a rapidly developing regional and global context driven by science and technology, the Vietnam Journalists Association will continue to uphold its proud tradition, constantly innovate, and enhance its role and position, deserving to be a trusted political, social, and professional organisation and a “common home” for journalists nationwide.
