Fresh lychees hit shelves at Saigon Co.opmart supermarket chain
In the coming two or three days, the specialty will be available at outlets of Saigon Co.op, including Co.opmart and Co.opXtra at reasonable prices.

The fresh lychees are being bought directly from Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province and Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang, the two biggest growers of the fruit in the country, with a small volume from Buon Me Thuot city, Dak Lak province.
According to Nguyen Anh Duc, Saigon Co.op’s general director, in the context of the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, the Saigon Co.op soon developed plans to collect, transport and distribute fresh lychees to help growers sell the fruits while timely serving customers across the country.
tIt is being sold at from VND21,00 to VND40,500 per kg depending on the location of the outlets. Saigon Co.op will also offer discounts on prices to promote the consumption of the product.
Saigon Co.op is expected to buy around 400 tonnes or even up to 500 tonnes of fresh lychees this year.
