Giap Vu Son Ha wins silver at Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad

(BGO) – All eight Vietnamese students won gold and silver medals at the first Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad, including Giap Vu Son Ha who is an eleventh grader at Chemistry Class of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted with a silver.

Bac Giang student won highest score of 57.85 out of 70 at theoretical examination among Vietnamese team. He won first prize at National Contest for Excellent Student in 2022 – 2023 academic year as one of three candidates with highest score across the nation.

Moreover, Ha gained gold medal at the Competition for students at high school for the gifted in coastal area and the Northern Delta in 2022 in Hai Phong province; first prize at provincial Contest for Excellent Student in 2020 – 2021 academic year.

He was second student of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted winning prize at regional and international Olympiad in 2023.

The competition, designed for students under 18 years old, was organised by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in Khorezm region, to be held every two years starting from 2023.

This year, the competition was held from June 11-17, with the participation of 15 countries. The Vietnamese delegation ranked first with four golds and four silvers.

On the afternoon of June 18, Giap Vu Son Ha and Vietnamese delegation to the Olympiad returned to Noi Bai airport (Hanoi). The representative of Bac Giang Department of Education and Training presented flowers, congratulated and praised his achievements which brings glory to his family, hometown, country and Bac Giang High School for the Gifted.

(BGO) – Three students in Bac Giang Industrial Technical College have been granted with scholarship by the Hessen Ministry of Science and the Arts and the World University Service of the Federal Republic of Germany in the academic year 2022-2023. The annual scholarship is awarded to impoverished students at Northern universities and colleges with good result.

Student Than The Cong in Bac Giang Highschool for the Gifted to attend Asian Physics Olympiad
(BGO) – The Ministry of Education and Training on April 24 summoned students to national team and prepare for 2023 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO), including Than The Cong who is an eleventh grader at Physics Class in Bac Giang Highschool for the Gifted in Bac Giang province. This year APhO will be held in Mongolia from May 21 – 29.
