Bac Giang honors outstanding students and teachers

(BGO) – On May 10, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to honor outstanding students and teachers in academic year of 2022 – 2023.  

In 2022 – 2023 academic year, Bac Giang students won 59 prizes at the National contest for excellent student (among 8 leading provinces and cities nationwide in the number of first prize and ranking twelfth in total number of prizes). Three students were selected to participate in Olympiad.

In the National Science and Technology Competition, two projects from Bac Giang province were awarded fourth prize. Moreover, many students bagged prizes at provincial contest for excellent student, physical training and sports competitions, national defense and security education sports festival.

Speaking at the event, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Mai Son congratulated high achievement of local students. He affirmed that it was a proud result for the students, families, schools and the province.

The provincial leader hoped them study more to gain knowledge, living skill and keep the passion for studying toward higher achievement.

Also, he thanked teachers for their kind teaching and encouragement to inspire the students, create studying environment for their talent development.

At the ceremony, 8 collectives, 135 teachers and 124 students with excellent achievements in different contests were honored with total reward of over 4.7 billion VND mobilized from the provincial Fund for Emulation and Reward.

Besides, several organizations, agencies and businesses presented reward of hundreds of million VND to outstanding teachers and students.

(BGO) – The Ministry of Education and Training on April 24 summoned students to national team and prepare for 2023 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO), including Than The Cong who is an eleventh grader at Physics Class in Bac Giang Highschool for the Gifted in Bac Giang province. This year APhO will be held in Mongolia from May 21 – 29.  
Youths from 59 universities attend students’ festival in Hanoi
The Hanoi Students’ Festival kicked off at the Academy of Finance on April 22, attracting around 5,000 youth union members and students from 59 universities and colleges in the capital city.
