Over 834 billion VND to be spent on gifts for revolutionary contributors
State President Luong Cuong has signed Decision No. 689/QD-CTN on the presentation of gifts to revolutionary contributors on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025) and the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025).
The beneficiaries include those participating in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945, and up to the August Revolution in 1945, those holding the titles of Heroic Vietnamese Mother, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces and Hero of Labour in the resistance wars.

Wounded soldiers who lost at least 21% of their working capability, war veterans, and those performing international duties who were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy, and relatives of fallen soldiers, are also present on the occasion.
Each beneficiary will receive a gift worth 500,000 VND. The total spending for the activities, which is estimated at over 834 billion VND, will be sourced from the State budget.

Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on April 3 visited and presented gifts to those who have rendered service to the nation, and disadvantaged children in Dinh Hoa district, the northern mountainous province of Thai Nguyen, once a revolutionary base.
