Bac Giang launches Workers’ Month, honours 234 outstanding workers
BAC GIANG- On the occasion of the 139th anniversary of the International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886-2025), the provincial Confederation of Labour organized a ceremony to launch the workers’ month 2025 and honour outstanding workers.
The event was attended by Nguyen Thi Huong, permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, Mai Son, permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and representatives of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, Nguyen Van Canh, Chairman of the provincial Confederation of Labour delivered a speech to revise the glorious tradition of the working class.
The province is home to nearly 300,000 workers working for enterprises in industrial parks and clusters, who have made enormous contributions to socio-economic development of the province.

On this occasion, 234 party members, who are outstanding workers in the “good and creative labour” emulative movement, were awarded by Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and provincial Confederation of Labour.
Besides, the provincial Confederation of Labour allocated 235 million VND (8,990 USD) from the “Trade Union Shelter” Fund to support 7 trade union members and workers to repair their houses and presented gifts to 50 needy workers, each worth 800,000 VND (30.6 USD).
