Bac Giang launches Workers’ Month, honours 234 outstanding workers
BAC GIANG- On the occasion of the 139th anniversary of the International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886-2025), the provincial Confederation of Labour organized a ceremony to launch the workers’ month 2025 and honour outstanding workers.
The event was attended by Nguyen Thi Huong, permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, Mai Son, permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and representatives of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, Nguyen Van Canh, Chairman of the provincial Confederation of Labour delivered a speech to revise the glorious tradition of the working class.
The province is home to nearly 300,000 workers working for enterprises in industrial parks and clusters, who have made enormous contributions to socio-economic development of the province.

On this occasion, 234 party members, who are outstanding workers in the “good and creative labour” emulative movement, were awarded by Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and provincial Confederation of Labour.
Besides, the provincial Confederation of Labour allocated 235 million VND (8,990 USD) from the “Trade Union Shelter” Fund to support 7 trade union members and workers to repair their houses and presented gifts to 50 needy workers, each worth 800,000 VND (30.6 USD).
Vietnam and Canada's Saskatchewan are striving for the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding on labour collaboration in mid-2025.
Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Organisation Commission, said the labour force plays a particularly important role in fostering Party members, because the Party is the vanguard of the working class.
In order to make up for the shortages caused by resignations or job changes in the last months of the year, businesses typically hire extra employees. For job seekers, particularly those with specialised talents or experience, the labour market is now opening up a wide range of choices.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Arto Olavi Satonen, Minister for Employment from the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, in Hanoi on January 13, believing that his visit would further bolster the traditional friendship and all-around cooperation between the two countries, especially in labour and employment.
BAC GIANG - The Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just issued an Official Dispatch on implementing solutions to support businesses in the province in recruiting labourers.
Vietnam is internationally recognised as one of the countries that has eliminated the gender gap fastest in the past 20 years, especially after 10 years of implementing the Gender Equality Strategy.
